I’ve wanted to shoot a San Francisco City Hall Elopement since I first laid eyes on this stunning building. Eloping at San Francisco City Hall is kind of a dream come true. The building itself couldn’t be any more beautiful if it tried. It’s the perfect space for an intimate ceremony without the stress of a big wedding.
Erin and Jamen eloped at San Francisco City Hall in October and it was so special. The weather was perfect outside and the late afternoon light inside the building was stunning. The best part was that the couple chose a later time for their ceremony so most of the crowds had cleared out by the time we were ready to take pictures. We had free rein of the building and got to explore lots of hallways, balconies, and staircases to get some amazing photos. Planning a San Francisco City Hall Elopement is relatively straightforward. It’s ideal for a couple that wants a stunning space without breaking the bank.
One thing I find so cool about being a photographer is that you get to be part of such a significant moment, but you’re just a fly on the wall. I don’t remember seeing a camera during my wedding, but I have so many gorgeous photos to remember it by. Photographers have the unique position of literally creating a tangible memory without even being noticed.
